Book and equipment buy

27 Apr 2013

Earlier today I bought a few items online from the USCF shop.

I already have pieces for tournament play but my board isn't in good shape.  So I decided on buying a new board with a bag for the pieces.  On top of that, a few books were a part of the purchase as well.

The following books  are:

How to Crush Your Chess Opponents, by:
Lasker's Manual of Chess, by: Emanuel Lasker
Lasker's Defense to the Queen's Gambit, by: Andrew Soltis
Grandmaster Preparation, by: Lev Polugaevsky (a book I once had and loved)

These books will be a welcome addition to my small library of opening manuals, endgame course book, and one on Bobby Fischer (a book on his complete games.

If anyone out there is interested, the one by GM Polugaevsky is a top notch read even though a lot of the material is over my head at this time.

Cheers,
James
